Working with Approval Status and More Information requests
After you send a More Information request, the Approval Status of the related approval request changes from Pending to More Information. If your Approval Status field in the Search Criteria area of Approval Central is set to Pending (the default), the approval request is removed from the approval requests table when you send a More Information request. However, you can still find and open the approval request by changing the Approval Status to More Information in the Search Criteria area, and then clicking Search. To see More Information requests assigned to them, approvers can click the Pending Approvals, Past Due, or Due Soon links on Approval Central.
If the original requester provides required information, the status of the approval request changes to Completed. If the original requester does not respond to the More Information request even after one day from the request creation, the status of the original request does not change from More Information to Pending. However, as an approver, you can provide information on the More Information request and change the status of the approval request to Completed.
