Reassigning approval requests


This section shows how an approver can transfer an approval request to another approver without otherwise responding to the request.

Before you begin

Before approving a request, you must follow the Creating new approval requests procedure.

The process specifies whether or not a request can be reassigned.

To reassign an approval request

  1. Log on to BMC Remedy AR System as the sample user Violet Anderson, and open Approval Central.
  2. From the Pending Approvals table, select the I need a new computer request, and click the Reassign icon.
  3. If prompted, enter your BMC Remedy AR System password.
  4. In the AP:Reassign dialog box, type Sue Smith, and click OK.

    Warning

    Enter the login name and not the first name and last name. In this case, Sue Smith is a login name.

    The reassigned request disappears from the Approval Requests table.
