Creating new approval requests

In this section, use the sample application to start the approval process by creating a new approval request.

1. Log on to the appropriate BMC Remedy AR System server as the sample user Frank Williams.

2. In a browser, open AP-Sample2:Get Agreement in New mode using the URL:
   http://<hostName>/arsys/forms/<serverName>/AP-Sample2:Get Agreement
   hostName is the name of the web server where BMC Remedy Mid Tier is running, and serverName is the name of the BMC Remedy AR System server where BMC Remedy Approval Server is running.

   Note

   In this sample application, the Get Agreement form is the application request form.

3. Type I need a new computer in the Summary field.
4. (optional) Type a longer description in the Details field.
5. In the Initial Approvers field, type
   Jack Miller; Violet Anderson
    Since this is an Ad Hoc process, you must enter at least one approver. To enter multiple approvers, separate the names with semicolons.
6. Click Save to save the request and begin the approval process.
