Checking status of requests

This section shows how to verify the status of an approval request that you created. It requires that you have followed Creating new approval requests.

Before trying you check the status of Frank Williams' request, perform the following procedures (see Approving approval requests):

  1. Log on to BMC Remedy AR System as Larry Goldstein, and approve the "I need a new computer" request.
  2. Log on to BMC Remedy AR System as Jack Miller, and approve the "I need a new computer" request.

To check the status of an approval request you have sent

  1. Log on to BMC Remedy AR System as Frank Williams, open the AP-Sample2:Get Agreement form in Search mode, and click Search.
  2. In the results list that appears, select Frank's request for the new computer.
The current status of the approval request appears in the Status field. If all three approvers have approved the request for a new computer, the status of the request (in the detail area of the window) is now Approved. If any of the approvers have not responded to the approval request, the status of the request remains Pending.
  3. To determine which approvers have responded to the approval request, click Show Approver Signatures.
The detail-signature form opens in Search mode, with a results list that contains one entry for each approver on the request. In this results list, the Approval Status column shows the status of the request for each approver.

  4. To determine which approver is associated with each status, select an entry from the results list.
The approver's name appears in the Approvers field, in the detail area of the window. In the example shown in above figure, Frank can see that this request is Pending for Violet Anderson.
