RKM Group plug-in configuration


The RKM Group plug-in gets group-related information from the Group form, because the BMC Remedy Knowledge Management (RKM) user does not have permissions to use the Group form. The RKM Group plug-in queries the data by logging on as a BMC Remedy Application Service user and retrieving the read-only data from the form.

Plug-in type

RKM Group is a Java-based ARDBC plug-in.

AR System server connectivity

The RKM Group plug-in connects to the AR System server by using the BMC Remedy AR System Java API. This plug-in (rkm-group.jar) is installed in the C:\BMC Software\BMCRemedyITSMSuite\Shared_Components\plugins folder.

The configuration information of the RKM Group plug-in is available in the AR System Administration: Plugin Server Configuration form.

The  AR System Administration: AR System Configuration Generic UI form includes the Server-Plugin-Alias setting that points to the correct plug-in server alias as follows:
Server-Plugin-Alias: RMDY.ITSM.RKM.GROUP RMDY.ITSM.RKM.GROUP myServer:9999
