Enabling scripting and ActiveX options in Internet Explorer browsers

To access options in Internet Explorer, select Tools > Internet Options. Click the Security tab, and then click the Custom Level button.

Enable the options listed in the following table.

While using BMC Remedy Mid Tier on Internet Explorer, if you see the error message — The value of lasttimeCookieUpdated cannot be obtained. Object is NULL or not defined. perform the following steps:

1.Open an Internet Explorer window.
 2.Go to Tools > Internet Options.
 3.Select the Advanced tab and disable the following options by selecting the check boxes:
 •Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)
 •Display a notification about every script error
 Note that disabling these options do not impact BMC Remedy AR System functionalities.
