Modifying the config.properties file

This topic describes how to modify the config.properties file for this version of BMC Remedy Mid Tier. You can manually change the default behavior of the mid tier by changing the settings in the config.properties file.

The config.properties file is installed in the following directory:
<midTierInstallationDir>\WEB-INF\classes\config.properties

You can modify the config.properties file to:

• Change the default format of flashboards.
• Customize the cache behavior.
• Change the number of entries in a report.
• Configure the wait time for detecting a HOVER event.
• Modify the wait cursor for actions when customizing views for forms or turn off the wait cursor.
• Set up a mid tier server to use cache table statistics.
• Enable the HTTP TRACE function to return HTTP header information.
