Configuring clients for AR System servers

When servers are configured to run on specific TCP ports, the clients must be configured to match.

Port 111 is used for Portmapper, and this port can be blocked for requests coming through the firewall. Internal requests are affected by this rule because Register-With-Portmapper: T is the default configuration setting of the portmapper. See the discussion in Configuring-a-server-to-use-plug-ins.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
