Configuring the File Deployer settings

BMC provides hotfixes and patches as a binary payload. Binary payload is a set of binary files, configuration files, batch or Shell scripts.  Binary payload deployment provides a single method for easily promoting binary related customization across the environments, consuming less time for applying the customization.

The File Deployer Settings page allows you to define the AR System Server that would be used for importing the D2P packages.

  1. Click the File Deployer Setting link in the left navigation pane to open the File Deployer Setting page.
  2. Review the AR Server Details and update them if required. The AR server that would be used for importing the D2P Packages must be mentioned here.
  3. Click Save.

Note

The File Deployer Setting page displays the AR System Server details if one of the following servers are set:

  • Centralized configuration
  • Authentication server in the General Settings section of Mid Tier Configuration Tool.
  • Home Page server

If all the three servers are set, the File Deployer Settings page uses the Centralized configuration server details. The server preference order is - Centralized configuration, authentication, and Home Page.
