Creating signatures for multiple approvers

An approval request can be assigned to multiple approvers. Administrators can specify how to manage responses to such a request at the process, rule, or role level. Administrators use the If Multiple Approvers setting for this purpose.

The options are:

  • One Must Sign — Creates a single signature entry for all the relevant approvers. Only one of the approvers needs to take action.
  • All Must Sign — Creates a separate signature entry for each approver. All approvers must take action for the request to proceed further.
  • (Process-level only ) Allow Only One Approver — Creates a single signature entry for an approver. If a requester specifies multiple approvers for a request, the approval server returns an error.
