How authentication servers work
Administrators can have greater control by verifying user authentication using an authentication server . With an authentication server, BMC Remedy Migrator checks to see if a user is a registered user. If a match is found, the user definition and permissions specified in the matching user record are used. If no match is found, the authentication is stopped and the user is treated as a guest user.
If authentication is not enabled in BMC Remedy AR System, BMC Remedy Migrator cannot authenticate a user. See Configuring-after-installation or Configuring-the-AR-System-server-for-external-authentication.
