Importing and exporting a package
You can import or export the package across environments using the AR System Deployment Management console.
Importing a package
Importing a package to a local machine involves loading a package to a target environment.
To import a package
- Open the BMC Remedy Deployment Management Console.
- Click Transfer Package > Import.
- Select Browse from the pop-up window to navigate to the folder from where you want to import the package.
Select the package that you want to import and click OK.
Exporting a package
Exporting a package involves saving the package and its contents to the local computer system.
To export a package
- Open the BMC Remedy Deployment Management Console.
- Select the package that you want to export.
- Click Transfer Package > Export.
- Save the package to the desired location on your local machine.
The Package Details field on the RDA:DeploymentPackageDetails form helps you identify the package content. If you need to extract the file for troubleshooting, you must use the 7-Zip utility to extract the contents of the ZIP file.
