Deleting the binary payload backup files


You can create and deploy a custom binary payload. The backup files are automatically created in this process. You must manually delete the backup files that are created during the binary payload deployment process.

Perform this process only if you have no plans to rollback the latest deployed binary payload. 

To clear backup files

  1. Navigate to Install directory > Home
  2. Delete all files with bmcbackup extension.
    • (Windows)—Issue the following command to delete all backup files from the AR system Installation directory, such as C:\Program Files\ BMC Softwate\AR System.

      Microsoft Windows
      cd C:\Program Files\ BMC Softwate\AR System
      del /S *.bmcbackup
    • (UNIX)—Issue the following command to delete all backup files from the AR system Installation directory, such as , /opt/bmc/ARSystem.

      UNIX
      cd /opt/bmc/ARSystem
      rm -rf *.bmcbackup
