Reporting application errors as issues


When you encounter an error on BMC Helix Innovation Studio, you can report the error as an issue. Reporting an error as an issue provides you with the following benefits:

  • Reduced time to resolve errors.
  • Ability to provide details on how the error was encountered. 

Note

You can report issues only from a tailoring, test, or production environments. If you encounter an error while you are creating an application in a development environment, you can report the error and post your questions on BMC Communities.

After you report the issue, the details are sent to the administrator who can then submit a case to BMC Support to resolve the issue. For more information, see Submitting-user-reported-issues-to-BMC-Support.

To report errors

  1. Click Report Issue on the error message. 
  2. Describe the steps that led to the error.
  3. Click Submit Report
Warning

When you click Submit Report, by default the issue data and logs will be shared with BMC Support to resolve the issue.
