Configuring the cognitive summarization service

To leverage the cognitive summarization service in BMC Helix Platform and to generate a text summary, administrators must configure the cognitive summarization service. You must also subscribe to an appropriate service license to configure the cognitive summarization service.

Before you begin

Ensure that BMC SaaS Operations has configured and enabled the cognitive summarization service.

To configure the cognitive summarization service

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Configure My Server > Cognitive Service.
  3. From the Configure list, select Summarization.
  4. Expand the Summarization Configuration section.

  5. In Summarization Percentage field, enter the percentage of sentences that you want to extract from the input text for summarization.

    Note

    An administrator can add the summarization percentage, only if BMC SaaS Operations has enabled the summarization service for the tenant.

  6. To test the connection, click Test Service Connection.
  7. After verifying the connection is successful, click Save.
