Creating or modifying Foundation data


As an administrator, you can build the Foundation data in your custom applications by using any of the following methods:

  • Create individual Foundation data
  • Load Foundation data in bulk
  • Load existing Foundation data from Remedy ITSM

Define Organization data to represent a collection of people with a common purpose specific to the business and to support requirements.

Define Person data to represent an employee, an agent, a customer, or a vendor.

The Person data also includes information about the person, such as their company and organization, site, contact information, roles, login information, and permissions.

Define Location data to represent an organization's physical such as office building or warehouse, or logical location such as sales region.

Define Categorization data to classify and organize sets of common items, such as, configuration items, support tickets, incident requests, change requests.

Define Geography data to represent the physical location of your sites by identifying the country, state or province, and city.

Define Foundation associations to manage relationships between data in the Foundation library.
