Changing the default time interval

The email engine configurations are available only for on-premises deployments.

When the email engine starts, it retrieves all the entries in the AR System Email Mailbox Configuration form and creates incoming and outgoing mailboxes. Every 30 minutes, the email engine automatically queries the form for changes to the form entries and updates the information.

On-premises customers can change the default time interval of 30 minutes by using the com.bmc.arsys.emaildaemon.serverName.Interval setting in the Centralized Configuration. For more information, see Updating-the-Email-Engine-settings-by-using-the-Centralized-Configuration.

To enable changes to form entries before the next default query time, stop and restart the email engine service. Changes to the Status field are not reflected automatically. If you have changed the value of this field, you must restart the email engine for the change to take effect.
