Adding FTS licenses

Full Text Searchis integrated throughout BMC Helix ITSM. You must define a license before installing Full Text Search.

To add an FTS license

1. From the IT Home page, open the AR System Administration Console.
2. Select System > General > Add or Remove Licenses.
3. Click Add New.
4. Define the following settings:
   • License Type—BMC Full Text Search
   • Number of Licenses—1
     
5. Click Save.
6. Restart the AR System server.

AR Systemdoes not support Full Text Search if you have read-only database.
