CAI RESTful plug-in configuration


The CAI RESTful plug-in establishes communication between the BMC Helix ITSM: Change Managementapplication and BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Server. It gets data from CAI and pushes data to a RESTful web service that BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management exposes. This plug-in refers to the configuration data for communicating with RESTful web services.


Plug-in type

CAI RESTful is a Java-based Filter API plug-in.

AR System server connectivity

The AR System server interacts with the CAI RESTful plug-in by using the AR System Java APIs. This plug-in (cai-restful-plugin.jar) is installed in the ARInstallationFolder\pluginsvr\cairestful folder.

Configuration information

The configuration information of the CAI RESTful plug-in is available in the AR System Administration: Plugin Server Configuration form.

The AR System Administration: AR System Configuration Generic UI form includes the Server-Plugin-Alias setting that points to the correct plug-in server alias, for example:
Server-Plugin-Alias: RMDY.CAI.RESTFUL.CLIENT.FILTER.PLUGIN RMDY.CAI.RESTFUL.CLIENT.FILTER.PLUGIN myServer:9999
