Form to customize source ID


The AP:Customize-SourceID form appears when you click the Customize link on the Basic tab on the AP:Form as shown in the following image:

Use the AP:Customize-SourceID form to specify the application form that opens when users click the Request ID link on Approval Central.


The following table lists the fields available on the AP:Customize-SourceID form and their descriptions:

Descriptions

Display Mode

Displays the following window types. For information about each window type, see the Open Window action. Select the mode in which you want to open the custom form.

  • Modify
  • Display
  • Modify Directly
  • Display Directly
  • Dialog
  • Search
  • Submit
  • Popup

Form Name

Displays the list of all available forms on the server, except the Display-Only forms. If you selected Dialog for the Display Mode field, the Form Name list also includes the Display-Only form names.

Select the form you want to open when you click the Request ID link in Approval Central.

View Label

Displays the lists of available views for the selected form. Select a view for the selected form.

If you do not select a view, the form opens in the default view.

Lookup Field

Displays a list of fields present on the selected custom form. For more information, see the Form Name field description.

This option appears if the Display Mode field contains one of the following items:

  • Modify
  • Display
  • Modify Directly
  • Display Directly

Select a field from the list with which you want to compare the Request ID field value (ID 1) on the application request form. When you click the Request ID link on Approval Central, the custom form opens with a record that matches the value in the selected field.

Important: Do not select a CLOB field.

This option does not support the following field types:

  • Integer
  • Real
  • Decimal
  • Date/Time
  • Date
  • Time
  • Currency
  • Diary

Field Mappings

Displays ten fields with IDs 14301 to 14310 that you can use to map the fields on the custom form to the fields on the application request form. This option appears if you selected Dialog, Submit or Search in the Display Mode field.

The reserved IDs (14301 to 14310) are assigned to these fields on the custom form. When you open the custom form through the Request ID link, these mappings populate the custom form fields (14301 to 14310) with the corresponding values on the request form fields that you selected or mapped for the current request.

If you do not define the mapping between the custom form fields and the application request form, a blank form opens when you click the Request ID link in Approval Central.
