Performing a search on Approval Central

When you open Approval Central, a query with the following search criteria is executed automatically:

  • Acting As = Myself
  • User = yourARSystemUserID
  • Approval Status = Pending

Using this query, AR System searches for requests that are awaiting your action. If any requests are found, they appear in the Pending Approvals table. For more predefines searches, use the Summary

You can also use the Quick Search and Advanced Search functionality on Approval Central. Specify your search criteria in this section, and click the Search icon to display a set of requests in the Approval Search Result table.  For example, you can retrieve a list of only those requests pertaining to a particular application, requests made by a specific requester, requests that are already approved or rejected, or requests directed to another approver for whom you are designated as an alternate. For more information, see Approval Search.

The following procedure is an example of how to retrieve a list of requests that pertain to a particular application:

To see all requests in the AP-Sample2:Get Agreement application
  1. Open Approval Central by using one of the methods described in Approval-Central.
  2. In the right pane, click Advanced Search to open the Approval Search section.
  3. Select AP-Sample2:Get Agreement from the Application list, and clear the Status field.
  4. Leave the default values in the remaining fields, and click Search.
The Approval Search Result table displays all requests that belong to the AP-Sample2:Get Agreement sample application for the current user.
For information about adding an application to the Application field, see Integrating-Approval-Server-with-an-application.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
