Processing More Information requests
If you need more information before approving or rejecting an approval request, you can send a More Information request, which is an independently-routed AR System record. Approval Server uses the AP:More Information form to manage More Information requests.
When you create a More Information request, Approval Server links it to the original approval request and changes the status of the approval request to More Information. Thus, others can see that the request is paused until the More Information request is answered.
Your response to the original approval is independent of the More Information request's routing. In other words, you do not have to wait for the More Information response before approving or rejecting the approval request. However, if you do approve or reject the original approval request, Approval Server immediately closes any related outstanding More Information requests.
The Questions and Comments features make it easier to work with More Information requests. For more information, see AP-Show-Detail form.
