Viewing the API status of import definitions


An administrator can track the status of import definition APIs by using the AR Metadata API Status log form. This form helps track the status of import definition API operations.

When you import large definition files, use this form to get visibility of the current API status.

To view the status of import definition API

  1. In Mid Tier, select Application > AR System Administration Console > System >  General > Centralized Configuration.
  2. In Centralized Configuration, make sure that the Track-API-Status parameter is set to T.
  3. In Mid Tier, open the AR Metadata API Status log form.

  4. Click New search.
  5. Enter or select the API ID of a particular API call.
  6. View the details for the selected API ID.
  7. In Centralized Configuration, set the Track-API-Status parameter is set to F to stop further API status tracking. For more information about the Track-API-Status parameter, see Configuration settings S-Z parameter.

Result

If you see the API Status as Errored, perform the debug operation to identify the reason of failure. If the status is In progress, wait for the API call to be completed.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
