Mapping an alias to connector configuration

An alias is a placeholder for your tenant-specific configuration. For example, if you have multiple applications, every application will have a unique alias associated with a connector action. As an administrator, you can export the applications from one environment to another using aliases. The tenant database stores the aliases created for different connector actions. You can create connector configurations and map the alias with the connector configuration.

An alias is generated when you import an application bundle or save a process in the Process or Rule designer in the development environment. An alias is generated when you export or deploy an application in the production environment.

To map connector action and connector configuration by using an alias

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studioand navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Integrations > Connectors > Connector mapping.

A list of connector aliases that you configured for the selected application is displayed as the Connection target; for example, JIRA

  2. In Connection configuration, select the appropriate configuration for the connector.
For more information about connector configurations, see Adding Connector Configurations.
