Adding connector configurations


You can integrate BMC Helix Innovation Studiowith third-party applications by using a connector.

Important

The connector configurations are tenant-specific.

Before you begin

Create a connector configuration and map it to the connector actions in the Process or Rule designer.

After you map the connector configuration, you can export the configuration across environments.

While adding connector configurations, make sure you provide the BMC Helix Integration ServiceURL, User Name, and Password in Administration > Integrations > Integration service authentication.

To add connector configurations

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studioand navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Integrations > Connectors > Connector configuration
  3. Click New and enter the details described in the following table:

    Enter a name for the Connector element.

    Jira

    Connector Type

    Select the connector from the list of connectors.

    The list includes the connectors developed in BMC Helix Integration Service.


    JIRA connector

    Configuration

    Select an existing connector configuration.

    A connector configuration contains third-party application or service information such as the protocol, server hostname, and server port. 

    Jira on AWS

    Profile

    Select the connector profile.

    A connector profile is an account created for the connector in BMC Helix Integration Studio. It contains details, such as user credentials required to connect to the external system. For more information to create a connector profile, see Adding accounts.

  4. Click Save.
