Enabling users to e-sign documents

BMC Helix Innovation Studio integrates with external e-signature service providers to request e-signing of documents from your BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications. As an administrator, you can configure your custom applications to enable users to request e-signing of documents and download them from within the application. BMC Helix Innovation Studio supports integration with the following external e-signature providers:

  • Adobe Acrobat Sign
  • DocuSign

As an application business analyst, you can create a process to send documents to external e-signature providers for e-signing, receive notifications to download the e-signed documents, and download the saved documents based on the webhook event.

Scenario

Apex Global wants to replace their manual process of verifying documents with a new process of e-signing documents on their employee onboarding portal. To replace this manual process, Apex Global integrates BMC Helix Innovation Studio with external service providers, such as Adobe Acrobat Sign or DocuSign.

Jonnie, an administrator at Apex Global configures the integration between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Adobe Acrobat Sign or DocuSign. Ajay, an application business analyst configures a process that sends the documents to the external e-signature providers and receives notification after the documents are e-signed.

Britney, a new employee at Apex Global submits all the documents required by HR during the onboarding process. However, the documents need to be e-signed to verify their validity before uploading them on the employee onboarding portal.

After Britney submits the documents, a request is sent to submit the documents for e-signing. Alex, a member from HR receives the request to e-sign the documents and signs the document by using one of the e-signature providers. A notification is sent to the recruiter to download the e-signed documents. These signed documents can now be uploaded to the employee onboarding portal to complete the onboarding process.
