Configuring the proxy server settings

For Twitter notifications to work correctly, it is necessary to have internet access to Twitter and Twitter4j websites from the client's computer and from the computer where the AR plugin server is running. If your organization does not provide direct internet access, the requests will be routed through an HTTP/HTTPS proxy server. In this case, the required proxy information must be provided during configuration in the new AR System Proxy Server Settings form that can be accessed through Mid Tier.

Fields in AR System Proxy Server Settings form

Field

Description

AR Server

Fully-qualified name (FQDN) of the computer where the AR plugin server is running.

Proxy Server Host

Name or IP address of the HTTP/HTTPS proxy server that allows connection to the internet.

Proxy Server Port

The proxy server port number.

Proxy Server User Name

(Optional) If the login credentials are required to connect to the proxy server.

Proxy Server Password

(Optional) If the login credentials are required to connect to the proxy server.

Only one entry must be made in this form for one AR System server. If multiple entries are made, the Twitter plug-in will pick any one of those entries.
