Configuring SOAP headers and authentication for web services


This section describes how AR System server authenticates requests that come into a web service published by AR System server, and how to configure authentication information in order to consume an AR System server or another external web service. Authentication information consists of a username and password, which are included in the SOAP packet, usually in the header.

Warning

Authentication information in SOAP headers or other web services communication can be in plain text. To ensure the security of the authentication information in a SOAP header, in this case, configure the web server to use HTTPS.
