The default root folder is the DeveloperStudioInstallDir\workspace\l10N folder.
By default, the localization toolkit uses the SQLite database, which is sufficient for extracting applications that will result in a small database. If you are using a large production database, you might want to use an AR System server database for the localization toolkit's database, as described in the following procedure.
To set the root folder for localization
In Developer Studio, select Window > Preferences.
Click the Remedy Localization link.
In the Root Folder field, use the default root folder that is displayed, or click Browse and select a different folder.
(Optional) Configure the localization toolkit database to run on an AR System server.
Select the Use the AR System server as the localization toolkit database check box.
In the AR System Server field, enter the name of the server you want to use.
For better performance, use a different server from the server that contains the applications you want to localize.
If this is the first time that you are setting up the database, click Set Up Database. After the server is set up, you do not need to click Set Up Database again. An application called AR System Localization Toolkit Database is installed on the server you entered in step b. This application contains four forms.
