Using migration reports

When you perform a migration, the immediate key task to perform is verifying if the data and objects are migrated correctly, as expected. To help with this verification, you can generate different reports of the migration. The reports provide key information such as the start and end times of the migration, the source and destination points, details of the migrated data, and the options that were in place at the time of the migration.

You can generate the Dependency and Differences reports to make sure you are migrating the correct data and objects to the correct destination.

The following topics describe the different types of information that you can view through the different migration reports:

View the details of the migration in the Migration Result report.

Customize a migration report to display the information that you need in a specific layout.

Create a Dependency report that shows the interdependencies between workflow objects, to help you determine which workflow objects are required by a specific workflow.

Create a Differences report before a migration task to determine the objects that will be migrated, and specify objects to be included or excluded from the migration. Additionally, generate this report to verify the migrated objects.
