Using the AR System Object List

Use the AR System Object List to view the list of all forms and other object types for which you have permissions. To access this list, go to http://hostName/arsys/forms, where hostName is the name of the web server where Mid Tier is running.

As a developer, for information about how to make the AR System Object List available in a browser, see Setting-up-the-Object-List

If your administrator has enabled AR System Object List, you can use it to access forms and applications in your browser as shown in the following image:

After AR System Object List is enabled and if the system cannot determine which form to load, it appears automatically in the your browser. The system might fail to determine the appropriate form because URL might be incomplete or incorrect, or if the URL specifies an application that does not have a primary form. For more information about specifying a primary form in an application, see Building a deployable application.

You can also view the AR System Object List by using any of the following URLs:

  • http://hostName/arsys/apps
  • http://hostName/arsys/apps/serverName/applicationName

Tip

When viewing a form in a browser (in New or Search mode), if you open the form and go to another web page and then click the Back button, an empty form is displayed in Search mode. The form will be empty because Field properties, selections, and other values are not saved.
