Stopping and starting the Email Engine

For on-premises deployments, you can stop and start the Email Engine using the Services application on Windows or manually on Windows or UNIX/Linux. 

Use the Manage Process tab of the AR System Management Console to start or stop the Email Engine service. For information about using the Manage Process tab, see Monitoring-and-managing-processes-across-the-server-group.
