Editing multiple overlay objects

To edit the properties of an overlay object

1. Open Developer Studio in Best Practice Customization mode.
   For information about changing the development mode, see Changing-the-development-mode.
2. Open the appropriate object list.
3. Select and open the AR System overlay object to edit.
4. Select the Definitions tab. Open the panel of the property you want to edit.
   Depending on the modifications that are required, you might want to change the object's overlay type as follows:
   1. Click the Overlay Type list.
   2. Select an overlay type.
   3. (Optional) You can change the object's properties after changing the overlay type.
      For information about the overlay types, see Granular-overlays.

To edit the properties of multiple overlay object

1. Open Developer Studio in Best Practice Customization mode.
   For information about changing the development mode, see Changing-the-development-mode.
2. Open the appropriate object list.
3. Select the AR System overlay objects to edit.
4. Right-click the selection and select Edit.
   The granular components of the object's properties that can be overlaid are listed in the left pane in the Edit window as shown in the following image:

5. In the Edit window, select the property that you want to modify. You can change any of the following:
   1. Change the Overlay Type selection for all the selected overlay objects.
      For information about the Overlay Type, see Granular-overlays.
   2. Change the property values for the selected overlay objects.

To edit the properties of an overlay field

1. Open Developer Studio in Best Practice Customization mode.
   For information about changing the development mode, see Changing-the-development-mode.
2. Open the form in the editor.
3. Select the field to change its overlay type.
4. In the Properties view, change the Overlay Type.
   You can also change the overlay properties for the selected field.

To edit the properties of multiple fields

1. Open Developer Studio in Best Practice Customization mode.
   For information about changing the development mode, see Changing-the-development-mode.
2. Open the form in the editor.
3. Select the fields to change their overlay type.
4. In the properties view you can change the following:
   1. The Overlay Type of the selected overlay fields.
   2. The properties of the selected overlay fields.
