Importing and exporting a package


You can import or export a package across environments by using the AR System Deployment Management console.

To import a package

Importing a package from a local machine involves loading a package to a target environment.

  1. Open AR System Deployment Management Console.
  2. Click Transfer Package > Import.
  3. In the dialog box, click Browse to navigate to the local folder where the package to be imported is located.
  4. Select the package that you want to import and click OK.

You can import AR System deployment package from any server of the server group.

To export a package

Exporting a package involves saving the package and its contents to the local computer system.

  1. Open AR System Deployment Management Console.
  2. Select the package that you want to export.
  3. Click Transfer Package > Export.
  4. Save the package to the desired location on your local machine.

The Package Details field on the RDA:DeploymentPackageDetails form helps you identify the package content. If you need to extract the file for troubleshooting, you must use the 7-Zip utility to extract the contents of the ZIP file.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
