Configuring an AWS Catalog connector


Customers can offer services from Amazon Web Services (AWS) Service Catalog by using the AWS Catalog connector provided by BMC. As an administrator, configure the AWS Catalog connector to integrate BMC Helix Innovation Suite and AWS Service Catalog. You can then import services from AWS Service Catalog and provision them to end users, who can request these services from AWS Service Catalog. 

Before you begin

Make sure that you have performed the following actions:

 To configure the AWS Catalog connector

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  2. Navigate to the Administration tab.
  3. Select Connectors > AWS Catalog, and click Add new setting.
  4. Enter the values for the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    Connection Id

    The unique identifier for the connection; for example, 52214a9c-dd7d-4084-859a-4f44d583fXXX.

    name

    The name for the connection.

    Access key ID

    The access key identifier that is used to authenticate your requests.
    For more information about the access key ID, see Access keys in the AWS console.
     

    Secret access key

    The secret access key that is used to authenticate your requests.
    For more information about the secret access key, see Access keys in the AWS console.

    Role

    The role that has specific permissions to access the AWS Service Catalog.

    Region

    The region of the AWS Service Catalog instance.

  5. Click Save.
