The following occurs when you remove a field from a view overlay:
- You cannot make changes to the display properties of the field.
- Any changes made to the display properties of the field are rolled back.
- The display properties of the field are replaced with those of the base field.
- You cannot change the properties of the base field because it is not in the view overlay.
- If a workflow uses a custom field on an overlay form, and you delete the overlay form, the workflow does not function correctly at run time.
