Adding an AutomationEdge connector configuration


As an administrator, add an AutomationEdge connector configuration to connect BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes in AutomationEdge. After you add the configuration, map the configuration to the AutomationEdge elements in the Process designer.

Before you begin

Make sure you perform the following actions:

To define AutomationEdge connector settings

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Connectors > AutomationEdge, and click Add new setting.
  3. Enter the values for the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    Connection ID

    ID for the connection.
    You can specify an alpha numeric ID, such as 
    AutomationEdge-12.

    Name

    Name of the connection.

    Important - The value in the Name field must be Automation Edge.

    URL

    AutomationEdge server endpoint URL.

    User

    User name of user who has permissions to assign and run a process.

    Password

    Password for login.

    Trust All Certificates

    If you want to trust your certificates, specify the value as True, else do not specify any value.

    Callback URL

    URL that was populated automatically when you configured the webhook callback.

    Callback Auth Key or User Name

    Authorization GUID or string that you added while configuring the webhook callback URL for AutomationEdge connector, such as AE-12345.

    Callback Password

    Password for the account you are using.

  4. Click Save.
    A connection is enabled between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and AutomationEdge. Use the Connection ID to map the configuration to the AutomationEdge element in the Process designer.

To configure the webhook callback URL

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  1. Navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Webhook Connection > Callback Configuration
  3. On the Webhook Callback Configuration page, click New Configuration
  4. On the Create New Callback Configuration page, enter the following details:

    Field

    Description

    Configuration Name

    Name for your callback configuration

    Bundle Name

    Name of the application for which you want to use the AutomationEdge webhook callback.
    For example, Digital Workplace Catalog.

    Processor

    Select RPA.

    X-AA-RPA-CLIENT-ID

    GUID or string for authorization such as AE-12345

    Callback URL

    This URL is populated automatically.
