Adding a Jenkins connector configuration


As an administrator, you can add a Jenkins connector configuration so that a connection between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Jenkins is enabled. After you add the configuration, you can map the configuration to the Jenkins elements in the Process designer.

Before you begin

Make sure that you perform the following actions:

  • Downloaded and deployed the latest Cloud actions bundle from EPD. To download the package, visit EPD Direct Download.

  • Installed the Jenkins server installed and that is available in your network. To install Jenkins, see Installing Jenkins.

To configure a Jenkins connector

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Connectors > Jenkins, and click Add new setting.
  3. Enter the values for the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    Connection Id

    ID for the connection.
    You can specify an alpha numeric ID such as 0c7c0e30-1593-4f80-a905-xxxxxxxxxxxx.

    URL

    URL of the Jenkins server.

    User

    User name to log in to the Jenkins server.
    Important: The user must have permissions to run the Jenkins jobs.

    Password

    Password to log in to the Jenkins server.
    Alternatively, you can use the API token in your Jenkins user profile configuration as the password.

    Trust All Certificates

    If you want to trust your certificates, specify the value as True, else do not specify any value.

    Name

    Name for the connection.

    Important - The value in the Name field must be Jenkins.

  4. Click Save.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
