BMC Helix Innovation Studio licensing model


Developers can license the applications that are created by using BMC Helix Innovation Studio. You can assign licenses to applications that are created by BMC, partners, and customers. By using the common licensing model, developers can create applications in BMC Helix Innovation Studio andDeveloper Studio.

By licensing an application, you get the following benefits:

  • Control access to your application.  
  • Protect the intellectual property of your organization.
  • Reduce management costs, and adhere to your organization's compliance policies. 

Licensing model

The following list describes the licenses you can assign to users to access BMC Helix Innovation Suite and its applications: 

  • Users with administrator permissions and AR Fixed license can access and use BMC Helix Innovation Studio, create and modify codeless applications in BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  • Users without administrator permissions and Floating license can accesss and use BMC Helix Innovation Studio, access, create, modify, and delete  BMC Helix Innovation Studio application data. 
  • Users without administrator permissions and Read license can accesss and use BMC Helix Innovation Studio, access, create, modify, and delete  BMC Helix Innovation Studio application data that they have created. 
  • Users without administrator permissions and Restricted Read license can accesss and use BMC Helix Innovation Studio, access and create  BMC Helix Innovation Studio application data that they have created, but the users cannot modify any data, including their own.
  • Users with AR Floating, Read, or Restricted Read license can use the deployed BMC or Partner applications.
  • Users with business analyst permissions and AR Fixed license can access BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications that they can access and tailor.  
  • Custom applications do not require any application license. Users with Fixed, Floating, or Read licenses can access the custom applications.
