Tailoring the application skin and brand

BMC Helix Innovation Studio enables you to customize the appearance of your applications that suit your organization's branding. By using the Administration tab in BMC Helix Innovation Studio you can do the following customization:

  • Configure the skin for an application—Change the appearance of components (such as panels, links, borders, or text) on a view of an application without having to modify the application.
  • Configure the logo for an application—Customize the look and feel of the application by uploading the tenant's brand-related image files and messages.

To configure the skins for applications

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Application management > Skinning and Branding.

  3. In the right pane, configure the parameters for colors and logo images and save your changes.

To revert the changes to the default values, click Reset to Default.

Notes

  • On a shared system, you can manage themes only for your applications and not for all available applications.
  • The customizations made by the administrator are applied to all the applications that are added in the tenancy after the changes are made.
  • The existing tenants and users are not affected by the customizations.

To add logo images

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab. 
  2. Select Application management > Skinning and Branding.

  3. In the right pane, in the Images section, upload the logo and click Save. You must use upload only PNG, JPEG, or SVG images.

After you receive a message that theme is generated, the changes are applied to the logo images.
