Requesting more information
This section demonstrates how to seek more information about approval requests.
Before you begin
Before approving a request, you must:
- Follow the Creating new approval requests procedure.
- Follow the Approving approval requests procedure.
To request more information about an approval request, you can create a separate More Information request. The AP:More Information stores the More Information request, and allows approvers to ask questions and have them answered before acting on an approval request.
To create a More Information request
- Log in to as the sample user Larry Goldstein, and open Approval Central.
- Select the I need a new computer request from the Approval Requests table, and click the Approval Details
icon.
- On the AP:Show-Detail form, open the Activity Log tab, and click Add.
- In the Activity Log Details panel, select Question from the Type list.
- In the Question To field, specify the login name of the person from whom you need more information.
- In the Question field, enter appropriate text.
- Click Save.
An entry is added to the Activity Log table. - Click Close.
