Requesting more information


This section demonstrates how to seek more information about approval requests.

Before you begin

Before approving a request, you must:

To request more information about an approval request, you can create a separate More Information request. The AP:More Information stores the More Information request, and allows approvers to ask questions and have them answered before acting on an approval request.

To create a More Information request

  1. Log in to  as the sample user Larry Goldstein, and open Approval Central.
  2. Select the I need a new computer request from the Approval Requests table, and click the Approval Details Icon_Approval_Details.png icon.
  3. On the AP:Show-Detail form, open the Activity Log tab, and click Add.
  4. In the Activity Log Details panel, select Question from the Type list.
  5. In the Question To field, specify the login name of the person from whom you need more information.
  6. In the Question field, enter appropriate text.
  7. Click Save.
     An entry is added to the Activity Log table.
  8. Click Close.
