Troubleshooting RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in issues


The RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in is used to generate a new private/public key for a database.

RSA Key Pair Generator is a Java-based Filter API plug-in.

 connectivity

 interacts with the RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in by using the  Java API. This plug-in (arrsakeypairgenVerNum.jarVerNum represents the release version number) is installed in the <ARInstallationFolder>\pluginsvr folder.

The AR System Administration: AR System Configuration Generic UI form includes the Server-Plugin-Alias parameter setting that points to the correct plug-in server alias.
Server-Plugin-Alias: ARSYS.ARF.RSAKEYPAIRGENERATOR ARSYS.ARF.RSAKEYPAIRGENERATOR myServer:9999

To troubleshoot RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in issues

To enable logs for the RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in

  1. In a browser, open the BMC Remedy AR System Administration Console, and click System > General > Plugin Server Configuration.
  2. On the Plugin Server Configuration form, from the Plugin Server Instance list, select the instance for which you want to enable logs.
  3. Select the Plugin Server Configuration tab.
  4. In the Logging Configurations area, from the Log Level listselect DEBUG.
  5. Click Apply
    The arjavaplugin.log file now generates the debug logs for the RSA Key Pair Generator plug-in.
