Creating email templates to search for Request ID
You must use the Query Action label (or its alias) to perform a search action. The following examples use templates that have been exported using and show how to modify them. You can, however, create the template using a text editor.
To create an email template to search for a request ID
Export the email template for the form that you want to make available for searching.

- Change the Action:Submit to Action:Query.
- In the fields section of the email template, define only the Request ID. It must have a field ID value of 1.
- Enter the Request ID of the entry to be retrieved.
Remove all other fields from the mail template. (The only field in the body should be !1! requestIDNumber.)
