Configuring the Flashboard server settings at a global level

To set the  server configurations at global level, use the Server Group Configuration screen. This screen provides a single location to manage configuration settings across the server group.

Access the Server Group Configuration screen from the location below:

  1. In a browser, enter the following URL address:
    http://midTierServerInstallDir/arsys/forms/serverName
  2. Log in.
  3. Select AR System Management Console > AR System Server Group Console> Server Group Configuration.

For more information about setting global and local level configurations, see Managing AR Server Group components by using global and local level configurations.

Best Practice
As a best practice use the AR System Management Console to manage the  server configurations.

You can also use the Flashboard Server Configuration form to configure the  server. This form shows the local level value of the configuration. If a local value does not exist, the form displays the global level configuration. If you modify the value on this form, the local level configuration value is modified. For example, if a configuration shows global level value and you modify the value by using this form, the local level value gets created for the configuration.

The server.config file allows you to configure only the  server name, port, and password. To configure the  service startup properties, the refresh interval properties, the logging options, and other properties, you must use the Flashboards Configuration form.

The following table describes the fields in the Flashboard Configuration form:
