Get Next Approver rules obtain a list of approvers for an approval request. The number of signature-line records created for the approver list depends on the definition of the Get Next Approver rule:
When If Multiple Approvers is set to One Must Sign, the creates a single signature record for the entire approver list. To complete the signature record, only one of the approvers in the list must act on the approval request.
When If Multiple Approvers is set to All Must Sign, the creates a separate signature record for each approver in the approver list. If a role is in the approver list, the creates a separate signature record for each member of the role. In this case, each approver must act on the approval request to complete his or her signature line.
A signature record is considered complete when any approver on the signature record approves, rejects, or cancels the approval request.
