Updating the AR System server name in other components


You can update the  name in other  components.

To update the server name in the 

Replace oldServerName with newServerName in the EmailDaemon.properties email server configuration file located in the ARSystemInstallDir\BMCARSystem\AREmail folder. See the following example:

To update the server name in 

Update the ARServerName property with the new server name in the server.conf file in the Flashboards folder.

To update the server name in the web services registry

  1. In a browser, open the Remedy AR System Web Services Registry form.
  2. For all occurrences of each record on this form, replace the old server name with the new server name.

To update the server name in help file paths for Remedy applications

  1. In a browser, open the SHARE:Application_Properties form.
  2. Search for all records where the Property Name field has an entry of Help File Path.
  3. Modify all occurrences of the  and  names with the new names.
