Enabling logs for performance issues
A good first step to investigate performance issues is to enable AR System logs to capture more detail about the individual operations that are slow. This topic describes how to enable logs that are useful for further investigation.

To enable logs for a performance issue
- Open the AR System Administration: Server Information form, and click the Log Files tab.
- Select the boxes to enable the following logs:
- API Log
- SQL Log
- Escalation Log
- Filter Log
- Plug-in Log
Verify each of the above logs write to a file (not a form).
- Set Maximum Log-File Size to 0.
- Click Apply.
To disable logs after capturing a performance issue
- Open the AR System Administration: Server Information form, and click the Log Files tab.
- Clear the following check boxes to disable the logs:
- API Log
- SQL Log
- Escalation Log
- Filter Log
- Plug-in Log
- Click Apply.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
