Setting up alarms to receive alerts
You can set up alarms for the flashboards that you create.
An alarm enables you to send notifications to specific users based upon a threshold value. Alarms can trigger notifications through email, based on the threshold level of the associated meter. The Remedy Flashboards server checks the threshold, based on the Check interval. If the threshold limit is reached, the server generates an entry in the Alarm Events form.
To create an alarm
- Open Developer Studio.
- In AR System Navigator, expand serverName > All Objects.
- Right-click Flashboard Alarms, and select New Flashboard Alarm.
To add an alarm to an application, expand serverName > Applications. Then, right-click on the application, and select New Object > New Flashboard Alarm. Use the following table to enter values in each field.
- Save the alarm.
To modify an alarm
- Open Developer Studio.
- In AR System Navigator, expand serverName > All Objects.
- Double-click Flashboard Alarms.
- In the Flashboard Alarms list, double-click the alarm name.
- Modify the data as needed.
- Save the alarm.
To disable an alarm
- Open the alarm.
- Clear the Active check box.
- Save the alarm.
To delete an alarm
- Open Developer Studio.
- In AR System Navigator, expand serverName > All Objects.
- Double-click Flashboard Alarms.
- In the Flashboard Alarms list, right-click the alarm name, and select Delete.
