Monitoring and managing processes across the server group
Required permissions
You must have at least one of the following permissions to access the Manage process screen:
- AR System Administrator
- AR System Configuration Administrator
- Integration Administrator
- Email Administrator
Considerations
- (Windows) You cannot add and update an external Windows service such as Tomcat.exe, Email Engine, and Flashboard by using the Manage Process screen.
You cannot delete a process command that you have already added.
You can delete the process command only from the armonitor.cfg (armonitor.conf) file. You need to restart the AR System services after deleting a particular process.
- A fully qualified server name is displayed only for the AR System server. However, a fully qualified server name is not displayed for Mid Tier (File Deployer process) and Smart IT (File Deployer process).
- You can disable the Execute Operation
button on the Manage Process screen by setting the Disable-Manage-Process-Operation property in ar.cfg to true. This restricts any random operation on the processes and enables you to only view the processes and their status.
