System requirements


This page provides requirements that you should be aware of before installing the BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.05 for Incident Management.

BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility server system requirements

The BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility server is built on the Tomcat web server. The BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility server installation program validates and installs Tomcat as part of the server installation.

  • Hard disk: 10 GB

Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 64 bit

Database

BMC Remedy Action Request System (BMC Remedy AR System) server

No database is required.

Multiple-product considerations

The BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility server requires the Tomcat web server. If the BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility server is installed on the same computer as BMC Remedy Mid Tier, they can share the Tomcat web server if the Tomcat version meets stated requirements. Otherwise, the system will have two web servers running.

**  The Mobility Administration server requires version 7.6.00 of the BMC Remedy AR System server.

You can use the BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.05, the Approvals client application and BMC Service Request Management, if you use the following versions:

BMC ITSM: 7.6 P1

BMC CMDB: 7.6 P2

BMC SRM: 7.6 P2
